AMD Radeon PRO W7000 graphics cards are designed for resource-intensive professional software such as Adobe Premiere Pro & After Effects, Autodesk 3ds Max & Maya, SOLIDWORKS Visualize, etc.
The PRO W7000 series delivers a superior visual experience, higher resolutions, and better colour accuracy.
AMD Radeon PRO W7000 series of graphics cards are high-performance workstation graphical processing unit (GPU) that offers excellent muti-tasking performance at low energy consumption. The PRO W7000 series includes the AMD Radeon PRO W7900 and AMD Radeon PRO W7800 graphics which are buily on AMD’s RDN 3 architecture, enabling them to deliver higher performance-per-rupee compared to previous generations of GPUs. The GPUs has a 1.5X larger memory compared to the previous generation of GPUs, it also features a dedicated AI Acceleration and Second-Generation Raytracing. All models in PRO W7000 can deliver better colour accuracy and run graphics and compute-based applications concurrently without disruption to workflows, these new graphics cards are designed for professionals to create and work with high-polygon count models seamlessly.
According to the company, the AMD Radeon PRO W7000 Series graphics cards feature the world’s first workstation GPU architecture based on AMD’s advanced chiplet design, furthermore, the GPU series also offers the new AMD Radiance Display Engine featuring DisplayPort 2.1 that delivers a superior visual experience, higher resolutions and better colours accuracy. The GPUs can provide up to 61 TFLOPS (FP32) peak single precision performance, offering 1.5X higher geomean performance on the SPECviewperf 2020 benchmark, thus making it suitable for extreme workloads. These GPUs also include 48GB of GDDR6 memory, which is 1.5X larger in memory capacity than the 32GB available on the previous-generation graphics card. Created for heavy workloads, the AMD Radeon PRO W7800 graphics card features 45 TFLOPS (FP32) peak single precision performance and 32GB of GDDR6 memory.
“The new AMD Radeon PRO W7000 Series are the most powerful graphics cards AMD has built to date, providing professionals, creators and artists with exceptional performance and value to drive the most demanding professional design and creative applications,” said Scott Herkelman, senior vice president and general manager, Graphics Business Unit at AMD. “The AMD Radeon PRO W7900 and W7800 Series graphics cards are built to deliver incredible performance and reliability in professional applications while providing colour-critical accuracy and an incredible visual experience. The AMD Radeon PRO W7000 Series graphics cards allow professionals to tackle larger projects, render faster and create more complex models loaded with more pixels, polygons, and textures.”
The company claims that the GPU offers an advanced chiplet design. It includes the new 5nm Graphics Compute Die (GCD) that provides the core GPU functionality. It also includes six new 6nm Memory Cache Die (MCD), each with second-generation AMD Infinity Cache technology. The PRO W7000 series can enable professionals to take advantage of the larger framebuffer which can help improve the system performance when running resource-intensive applications such as Adobe Premiere Pro & After Effects, Autodesk 3ds Max & Maya, Blender, Boris FX Sapphire, Dassault Systèmes SOLIDWORKS Visualize, DaVinci Resolve, Lumion, Maxon Redshift, etc.
