According to Keysight, the E5081A ENA-X vector network analyzer (VNA) accelerates the characterization of 5G components by up to 50%. This midrange platform performs accurate error vector magnitude (EVM) measurements with a low residual EVM floor to characterize components like power amplifiers for 5G transmitters.
Obtaining measurements for power amplifiers under realistic conditions can be time consuming, requiring multiple instruments and test setups. The E5081A offers a single test setup with one connection and requiring only a single calibration, enabling the characterization of power amplifiers for transmitters in the 5G NR FR1 and FR2 frequency bands in half the time.
The network analyzer provides modulation distortion measurements up to 44 GHz with full vector correction at the DUT plane. It also integrates an upconverter and direct receiver access for high-power systems. Network analyzer software eases complex measurements like EVM and adjacent channel power ratio (ACPR). Software application options are available for modulation distortion analysis, spectrum analysis, noise figure measurements, and pulsed RF tests, to name a few.
